Ross Collingwood is a professional yachtsman, marine engineer, and founder of Vortec Marine and RIB-X International. With over 25 years in the yachting industry, Ross has built Vortec into a name synonymous with precision, integrity, and British craftsmanship. He oversees complex refits and high-performance upgrades, ensuring every project meets the highest standards. A commercial skipper and marine surveyor, Ross blends global yacht racing experience, engineering expertise, and meticulous project management to deliver exceptional results. 

Richard Burlingham brings more than 20 years of experience in yacht management, refits, and high-performance servicing. A competitive sailor from age 10 and 2017 8 Metre Class world titleholder,  Richard applies a performance-driven mindset to every project. He has led the development of state-of-the-art marina facilities and the acquisition of RIB-X, shaping both companies as leaders in bespoke RIB manufacturing and luxury yacht services. His technical knowledge, commercial insight, and attention to detail ensure every client receives excellence from concept to completion

Norman Blick brings over 43 years of distinguished experience within the marine industry. He began his career specialising in the outfitting of luxury blue water yachts, before advancing into senior management and ultimately serving as Production Manager at SYS. During his tenure, he oversaw the shipyard’s operations for both semi-custom yacht builds and the extensive refit of classic superyachts, including the renowned J Class sailing yacht Velsheda. 

Outside of his professional life, Norman takes great pleasure in following his local football team and playing golf.

Monica Tomas holds a degree in Naval Engineering from her home city of Barcelona, Spain and a Masters degree in Oceanic and Naval Engineering from Madrid. Since graduating, she has built her career within the marine industry, specialising in the refit and repair sector across both motor and sailing yachts, primarily in project management roles. Her early professional experience began in Spain working for Nautor Swan before relocating to the UK, where she has been based for the past several years.

Monica enjoys her role at Vortec Marine and particularly values working alongside a supportive and collaborative team. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through running, swimming and walking, as well as spending time reading.
